What Homelens is
Homelens is an information and comparison service for the Cape Town property market. We collect properties that are publicly advertised by estate agencies and show you how their asking prices, rents and running costs compare with each other.
What Homelens is not
We are not an estate agency and not a property practitioner as defined in the Property Practitioners Act 22 of 2019. We do not act for any buyer, seller, landlord or tenant. We do not market property on behalf of any seller, negotiate or conclude any transaction, collect rent or deposits, or hold any client money. We are not registered property valuers and we do not value property. We are not financial advisors and nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice.
Where our information comes from
Listing information is collected from agency websites and is shown as the agency advertised it. Rental and Airbnb market figures come from third-party market data. We do not verify the accuracy of agency advertisements. Details, prices and availability change, and a property may be sold or under offer before our information updates.
Estimates
Levies, rates, insurance, maintenance, rental income, Airbnb income, growth rates and projected returns are estimates. Actual figures will differ. Growth rates are assumptions based on past area trends and are not predictions. Nothing here is a guarantee of income, growth or return.
Your decisions are your own
Always confirm every detail with the listing agent, the managing agent or body corporate, and your own financial and legal advisors before making any offer or signing anything. Homelens accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on information on this site.
